- Pairing information: pairing codes, passkeys, child device tokens, and pairing status.
- Subscription information: subscription status and related purchase information provided through Google Play Billing.
- Technical information: device type, app activity, server logs, IP address, errors, and security events needed to operate and protect the service.
How We Use Information

- Create and manage parent accounts.
- Pair child devices with parent accounts.
- Show live child location and route history to the paired parent account.

Location Data and Background Location
SafeSteps Family GPS collects location data from the child device only after the device has been paired with a parent account and location sharing has been enabled.
The app may collect location data while the app is closed or the phone is locked. This is required so the parent can view live safety updates and route history. Location sharing is shown through an ongoing notification on the child device and can be stopped at any time from the app.
Children’s Privacy
SafeSteps Family GPS is designed for use by parents or guardians to help manage family safety. A child device should only be paired and tracked with appropriate parental or guardian consent.
Parents or guardians are responsible for ensuring they have the legal right to use SafeSteps Family GPS with the child device.
Sharing of Information
We do not sell personal information.
We may share limited information with service providers that help us operate the app, including:
- Hosting and database providers used to run the SafeSteps backend service.
